I've decided to start a blog. My good mate Doug prompted me - he writes his own which I'll link later on.
To begin with, I think I'll just stick a few photos on and tell you about what I've been up to since Kate and I moved from Newcastle to Zurich in Switzerland. First - a little bit of background.
Kate managed to get a transfer within her company (the other alternatives were redundancy or a move to Croydon, both of which leave alot to be desired). So we had a good think about it, weighed up the options and decided to go for it. A couple of months before Kate starts, I manage to get a job at a Re-Insurance company and everything starts to slot into place.
We moved over to Zurich at the end of March. I took a trip back home in a hire van to pick up our belongings (a 4 day marathon - brought my Dad back to Zurich with me - I'll talk about that little adventure a little later on). We moved into a little flat in a very nice part of Zurich and are now busy settling in. Main reason for this blog is just to let everyone at home how we are getting on and to display a few photos for all to see. Hopefully it will prompt a few folk to come and visit once you see how wonderful it is over here.
